Isibaya actress Nomzamo Mbatha open up to DRUM about the woman who allegedly claims to be her mother.
Sunday Sun newspaper reported that a Kwazulu-Natal woman named Elizabeth Mbatha had come forth claiming to be the biological mother of Nomzamo Mbatha. In the interview, Elizabeth said she did not want anything from Nomzamo except for a mother and daughter relationship.
A few days later, Nomzamo shared a photograph of her mother and sister Wendy on Instagram captioned, “My mommy in the middle and my older sister. Sunday Sun ran a story, again about a woman claiming to be my mother, some Lobola nonsense and curses. Dry news week.”
When DRUM spoke to her about the matter, she calmly responded saying,”The media used that lady shame. Out of respect for her and myself, I will leave her alone and ignore the whole thing,” said Mbatha.
She went on to say, “the lady probably does have a child missing somewhere but I’m not her child, she should rather call Khumbulekhaya to assist her.”
Nomzamo mentioned that she is a busy woman and has a lot of work on her plate and she is focusing on her acting career
