AWARD-WINNING kwaito duo Big Nuz seems to be facing problems.
Sources close to the situation told Sunday SunMzi Tshomela, known to his fans as “Danger”, is uncertain about the future.
This after it emerged that group member “Mampintsha”, real name Mandla Maphumulo, is allegedly busy with his own thing while Danger is left in the dark.
“Mampintsha has been too busy with his own things to care about what Big Nuz should be doing.
“He’s focusing on his West Inc Company ,which signed the artist “Babes Wodumo”, real name Bongekile Simelane.”
Another source said on several occasions Mampintsha has been booked to perform alone.
“Mampintsha is pushing Babes Wodumo and himself.
“He has been seen on several posters – booked as Mampintsha – and not Big Nuz.
“This worries Danger and he even asks what songs he is performing when booked as Mampintsha,” said the source.
The showbiz mole added that there have been rumours about a solo album that Danger is allegedly working on.
“He says he’s in the dark about what’s happening with Big Nuz, but Danger is also working on his solo project,” said the source.
There have been recent rumours that Big Nuz was unhappy at Afrotainment, and claims the group was at the point of splitting.
But those rumours faded after Big Nuz put on a show of solidarity.
Danger refused to comment demanding to know the source of the story.
“Wait, I won’t tell you anything, just go and find the person who told you this then come to me. I’ll tell you what you want to know if you can come to me with your source. We’re too old to entertain this,” he said.
Neither Mampintsha nor DJ Tira could be reached for comment.
