#SAMA22 AKA TRENDS AS #AKAwinanga

As we all know this year’s 22nd annual South African Music Awards (Samas) took place this past weekend!

All the winners were announced and congratulated.

The #SAMA22 hashtag was trending on Twitter and all was well.

So we though...

Twitter took things to another level!

By the end of the award show a different hashtag had taken over - #AKAwinanga.

FYI: This means "he didn't win" in Zulu. This is by far one of the most creative hashtags we have seen.

Twitter went wild and started making fun of the fact that rapper AKA went home empty handed.

"AKA had two songs nominated in one category but still didn't manage to secure an award" - said people on Twitter.

This social media platform is truly a brutal place. Definitely not for the weak.

Cassper Nyovest and DJ Euphonic did not hesitate to capitalize of AKA's failure; how brutal.

Aka kept his composure through it all.
