Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams used his time at the BET Awards to thank those who are not rewarded for their struggles.
Williams was awarded the BET Humanitarian Award at Sunday night's glitzy awards ceremony.
When making his acceptance speech, Williams took the limelight off himself and dedicated the award to those who are fighting their own battles on a daily basis.
He said during his speech: “This is for the real organisers all over the country. The activists, the civil rights attorneys, the struggling parents, the families, the teachers of students that are realising that a system built to divide, impoverish, and destroy us cannot stand if we do."
The speech was an incredibly moving part of the night, but was not alone in being a standout highlight.
There was lots more to take in on the night, and you can watch all the drama, excitement, and glamour on BET Africa on DSTV's channel 129 at 19h00 CAT on 28 June.
