IN Ses’Top La, actor Warren Masemola plays the character of Thoko Chanel, a devious gay character who only thinks of himself.
And allegedly he’s also a drama queen in real life.
Apparently, the Ring of Lies actor snubbed KZN fans, mostly women, who wanted to take pictures with him.
The fans converged at his table on Saturday night during the Youth Hip Hop Festival held at People’s Park outside Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
A few minutes after his arrival at the VVIP marquee with faded actor Presley Chweneyagae, took off the hood of his top from the jacket he was wearing. A number of fans recognised him and flocked to his table to declare their love for his acting skills and to take pictures with him. But he allegedly refused to pose for pics with devoted fans.
A woman, who asked not to be named, toldSunday Sun she went to Warren’s table and told him how she loved the way he portrayed gay character Thoko on TV.
But he allegedly played it cool, just as Thoko might have done.
He snubbed the group of fans and concentrated on the booze that was in front of him.
The allegedly snubbed fan told Sunday Sun: “He said he was not there to take pictures but was there to get down and enjoy himself.
“He was with Tsotsi actor Presley and two women at his table at the time. Even when I explained how my family was going to appreciate my pic with him, he stuck to his words.
“I then went back to my table with my head hanging. I don’t understand such behaviour, because Warren told fans he appreciates their support.”
Last year, Sunday Sun reported that Warren had impregnated his girlfriend but refused to acknowledge it. Early this year, he did claim responsibility.
