What is the difference between Actor and Artist?

An actor basically acts in a dramatic or comic production, whether it be in film, television, theatre, or radio. An artist, on the other hand, is a much broader concept. An artist is a person who is involved in any activity as categorized under the arts, such as creating art, practicing the arts, and/or demonstrating an art.
