NOTHING good will come of Isibaya actress Nomzamo Mbatha’s marriage!
So said a woman who calls
herself Nomzamo’s mum.
Elizabeth Mbatha of
KwaMhlanga, in Mpumalanga, said Nomzamo should perform a ritual to fit in with her family background before she marries.
This comes after the 48-year-old learned there were secret ilobolo negotiations taking place in the family she claims she belongs to.
Speaking to Sunday Sun,
Elizabeth said she doesn’t mean to curse Nomzamo, but that’s how things will be if she ignores the truth about her upbringing.
“Firstly, I’m too old to claim what’s mine if it’s not. I’ve given Nomzamo and those people she claims to be her family a challenge to tell the truth, but they’ve turned a blind eye.
“Ancestors are punishing them and they’re still going to be punished if they continue to turn a blind eye,” she said.
“They’ll receive ilobolo and she’ll get married, but a dark cloud will be hanging over her.
“As I said before I don’t want her money, fame and fortune, but she needs to know the truth.
“I’m not getting any younger, and will soon leave this world – and she’ll be looking for answers from the wrong people,” Elizabeth said.
Sunday Sun understands Elizabeth is willing to do a DNA test to prove she’s Nomzamo’s biological mum.
Nomzamo was not available for comment. Her publicist Pumza Nohashe
refused to comment on the matter.
“I don’t comment on people’s private lives,”
“At the moment Nomzamo is busy with rehearsals and next week she’s off to Los Angeles,” she said.
