AKA and Bonang Matheba receive 'Favourite Couple' nod at #YouSpec

AKA and Bonang Matheba are in the running for 'Favourite Couple' at this year's YOU Spectacular Awards.

The nominees were revealed by the magazine on social media on Friday morning. 

Word about their relationship got out last year after AKA and DJ Zinhle called it quits. 

Although they first denied that they were an item, they eventually stopped hiding and have been sharing some of their special moments with fans on social media. 

In an interview with SlikourOnLife, Bonang said she's happy with AKA now. She explained how she went through "bullsh*t" relationships after Slikour. 

"I think more than that it's about you need to go through hell to realise how good you had it or how good you could have it. I'm grateful for all the mistakes I made, the people I met, the relationships I sort of formed and where I am right now."

The couple is up against Jay Anstey and Jonathan Boynton-Lee, LeAnne and Sipho Dlamini, JP and Sue Duminy, Janez Vermeiren and Juliana Vasconcelos.
