Mzansi Actress Letoya Makhene who acts as Tshidi on Generations has taken a break from her Nyanga practice in Kemptonpark.
In an interview with BONA magazine she mentioned that it has not been easy balancing her practice and being on Generations the legacy. She was also quoted in the interview saying that since her daily TV appearance she has fear of being alone in her practice she also added that “As a healer‚ I don’t fear anything‚ but I had to be realistic about the world I live in. So‚ I’ve stopped consulting‚ for a while.” She also cleared out the confusion that traditional healing is not witchcraft.
Letoya explained that she’ll always be a traditional healer‚ saying: “Once a nyanga‚ always a nyanga; idlozi lakho mayifun’ ukusebenza izokusebenza gogo‚ ayina ndaba ukuthi uwbani (when your ancestors want to work through you‚ they will do so‚ it doesn’t matter who you are).
