AWARD-WINNING newbie, “Prince Kaybee”,was involved in a horrific hit-and-run accident last week.
The Wajelwa hitmaker, real name Kabelo Motsamai, said he was on his way to a gig in Pretoria when the accident occurred along Krugersdorp Road, near Joburg.
The singer told Sunday Sun he was in the passenger seat at the time of the accident.
He said he got a shock of his life when a white Toyota Hilux drove into his car and then sped off.
Luckily, no one got hurt.
“The driver of the Hilux was swerving on and off the road. I told my driver the guy was driving as if he was drunk.
“Little did I know he would drive straight into us. Next thing we woke up on the side of the road,” he said.
Prince Kaybee said all he remembers is seeing the Hilux approaching his car and praying to God to save his life.
Neither he nor the driver of his car got injured, but his white BMW1 Series is a complete write-off.
Prince Kaybee said: “I’m grateful I survived. Life goes on and I need to find some coping mechanism to help me deal with the shock.”
He said he’s already working on his second album and will drop a single in October. He refused to reveal his driver’s identity, save to say that he’s employed in the entertainment industry.
