In a revealing interview with Cliffcentral.com DJ Zinhle has opened up about the pain she felt during her split from AKA but says she is in a much better space now.
DJ Zinhle’s personal life has hogged headlines ever since she took to her blog claiming that her split from hip-hop star AKA was due to an affair with Bonang Matheba.
The good news is that Zinhle is in a much better space and is happier than ever.
“I’m at a stage in my life where the people around me are just easy going and give off good energy. I am at a point in my life where I do not care about what anyone thinks about me. I just want to live my life and be happy.”
Zinhle also revealed that getting a tattoo during her split from AKA was therapeutic and helped her make sense of the pain she was feeling.
“I got the first one when I was going through the shittiest time in my life‚ everything was so painful‚ everything was so painful and when I got this tattoo it was so therapeutic. I couldn’t make sense of a lot of the pain at the time.”
Zinhle added that she decided to get a rose because she liked it and it just made sense at the time.
“For what I had go through in my life with the father of my child‚ it was like‚ with everything that happened‚ a rose is still a rose so it just made sense.”
Even though Bonang and AKA first denied the claims fiercely‚ they have recently made their romance public with a string of public appearances together. And during a revealing interview with Slikouronlife.co.za recently‚ Bonang for the first time revealed that AKA makes her happy.
