Mamelodi Sundowns are back in the CAF Champions League due to the disqualification of AS Vita Club, CAF have announced.
The Brazilians were dumped out in the qualifying stages by AS Vita Club on the away goals rule, following a 2-2 draw over the two legs.
CAF's official Twitter account stated that AS Vita had been disqualified from the tournament, and that they would be replaced by Mamelodi Sundowns - however the tweet was removed a few minutes later.
They then confirmed the news once more, stating: "Breaking: #ASVita disqualified from #CAFCL. Replaced by @Masandawana. Details to follow soon."
