South Africa’s Television news anchor, Tumelo Mothotoane, has joined Russia Today as TV News Anchor and Correspondent.
Tumelo was born in Lebowakgomo on the 30-05-1991, and she was raised by her maternal parents. Her passion for television begun bore fruits when she joined Soweto TV.
From Soweto TV, she joined SABC where she was involved in many activities, including hosting Sunday Live on SABC1.
Yesterday night, she was a guest at Zaziwa hosted by Pearl Modiadie.
Tumelo told Pearl that it has never crossed her mind that she will go to Russia, and she became very emotional when she received the good news from Russia Today.
She said that after realizing that her mother did not have money to take her to tertiary, she worked very hard, got distinctions and awarded a bursary to study at the University of Witwatersrand
where she finally graduated.
