International superstar Lil’ Kim sparked a social media frenzy shortly after selfies of her looking rather pale went viral.
In addition to sporting blonde hair‚ the rapper appears to also have a much lighter skin tone‚ and her face looks tight and taunt.
Within moments of her big reveal‚ fans inundated Twitter with a string of comments about the pictures‚ which saw trend for most of Monday morning.
Most fans were left shocked by Kim’s extreme transformation‚ feeling the change from her natural dark skin colour to this new‚ lighter shade was “not a good move.”

The photos of Lil' Kim, who was born Kimberly Jones, immediately kicked off multiple questions including, "Is that really Lil' Kim?"
The female rapper has long been the subject of speculation that she has undergone plastic surgeries. In 2005, she told radio personality Angie Martinez that she got her nose fixed.
"It don't bother me because I told you, I'm beautiful," Lil Kim said. "I love myself. ... People think I did it because I had low self-esteem, but that wasn't the case. I think I did it because I was a little too vain."
But the conversation now has heightened into chatter about whether her new look is the result of surgery, skin bleaching, makeup, Photoshop or a combination of any or all.
Some observers have worried that Lil' Kim is setting a bad example for young women of color.
This isn’t the first time the 41-year-old has come under attack for her ever-changing looks.
The “Queen Bee” singer had been rumoured to have undergone plastic surgery in March 2012 where she seemed to have a lighter skin tone and a smaller nose.
