Senzo Meyiwa’s father, Sam, says he doesn’t want Kelly Khumalo, whom he described as a ‘curse’, to be one of the beneficiaries of the late Orlando Pirates goalkeeper’s insurance payout.
On Thursday, during the announcement of Siyabonga Sangweni’s retirement from professional soccer, Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza told the media that the Premier Soccer League will meet Meyiwa’s family next week to finalise the payout.
Sam says he is happy the League has finally thought about the family.
“It will really help the family and me. We have children going to school who need financial support. No one is working and Senzo was providing everything for us,” Sam told the Daily Sun.
“But the money should be allocated to the right people. I don’t want Kelly Khumalo to be one of the beneficiaries. She was a curse to my son. I don’t want to hear her name.

“If Kelly had a heart she would tell the whole truth about who killed my son.”
Senzo was killed during an alleged armed robbery at the Vosloorus home of Kelly Khumalo’s mum on October 26, 2014.
The police are yet to arrest his killers.
