March 2016 data from NetMarketShares shows that Internet Explorer is the most popular Internet browser in the world.
According to the data, Google Chrome is a close second, followed by Firefox, Safari, and Opera.
Chrome is set to overtake IE if current trends continue – with Chrome growing from 26.37% market share in May 2015 to 39.09% in March 2016.
IE has slipped from 55.15% to 43.40% over the same period.
According to a report by Digital Journal, Microsoft’s new Edge browser has a 3.55% market share – less than Internet Explorer 9 at 4.56%.
