Nomvula hitmaker Nathi Makayi had to leave the SAMA Nominees announcement in Soweto on Thursday after feeling “overwhelmed” by members of the media and fans‚ who simply could not get enough of him.
Nathi‚ who bagged four nominations for this year’s SAMA awards‚ was greeted by a huge swarm of media and fans shortly after the nominees announcement.
The singer could barely make it through the crowds‚ as he went from one interview to another‚ with hordes of locals clamouring to get a picture with him.
By the time TMG Entertainment tried to have a chat with him‚ we were told that he had left to calm down and catch a breather as he was “overwhelmed” by all the attention.
The award-winning artist grabbed nods for Male Artist of The Year‚ Newcomer of The Year‚ Best R& B/Soul/Reggae Album and Album of The Year
