Two police constables have been arrested in connection with the robbery at Chinese shop in Pretoria last night. According to Inspector Zulu from the Police Public Relations Division the two constables, aged 33 years and 30 years, would appear in the Magistrate Court today [Thursday].
Inspector Zulu says on Tuesday five police officers in a marked Police vehicle arrived at Shopping Complex where they presented the owner of a Chinese shop with a fake search warrant saying they are investigating a case of dealing in drugs.
They ‘seized’ cash amounting to R46 500.00 from the shop’s storeroom and cash register, as well as two cellphones and computer memory box for the CCTV camera. Two of the police officers were arrested the same day, while the other three are still at large and the police investigation continues.
