RELIEVED Jomo Cosmos owner coach Jomo Sono has promised to reward goal-scorer Mxolisi Macuphu with double tickets for the movies so he can take his girlfriend.
Sono said he could finally get some sleep after their relegation troubles were

eased on Tuesday following a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium.
Cosmos are five points ahead of bottom club Maritzburg United on 20 points with seven games still to play.
Sono said he understood the pressureAmakhosi coach Steve Komphela was experiencing, having gone four matches without a win.
Said Sono: “I will buy Macuphu tickets – we don’t have any bonus money. Not winning is difficult, you don’t sleep. I don’t think there is any coach who sleeps. I don’t think he (Komphela) is sleeping at night – I definitely wasn’t.
“You think about which guys to play, which guys not to play, you write . . . Even your kids think you are mad because you keep writing. I understand the situation he is in at the moment.”
Added Sono: “I am happy we are running away from the relegation zone. A tombstone has already been erected for Cosmos, but there is nobody in the grave. We have to keep fighting for survival to ensure the grave remains empty.”
Cosmos will get the chance to avenge their 5-0 league defeat to Orlando Pirates when the teams meet in the Last 16 round of Nedbank Cup at Olen Park on 3 April. They will then turn their focus back to the league as they host Bidvest Wits at the same venue on 13 April.
Said Sono: “We are taking each game as it comes. Our next game is Wits and we will start preparing as soon as possible, because we don’t want to go out of the league. We want to consolidate our position just for this season and next season we will compete.”
Sono has warned seven players who were dropped against Chiefs to pull up their socks as he hailed those who parked a double-decker bus to frustrate Amakhosi.
“I don’t believe in superstars and that’s why I told them ‘stay home, I will see you when we get back’. I won’t make changes in the next game. If it’s not broken why fix it? They won – and didn’t lose 5-0 to Orlando Pirates, so they must carry on playing.”
