Are you looking for the right place to show off what you’ve got? Well, look no further, because International ARTS Talent Showcase (IATS) wants to help you make your dream come true. IATS is looking for variety of talent – actors, singers, dancers and models for auditions – to realise their dreams!
It gives youngsters not only a platform to showcase their talent locally, but the opportunity to travel abroad and the chance at international education – to further develop their skills.
This is not a competition. It’s a platform – its primary focus on arts education – which allows longevity in the marketplace. Those who are selected are taken through the steps and taught the ins and outs of the industry. They can then use that information to further themselves.
The Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) is a family owned and operated organisation, founded by talent scout, Kim Meyers. IATS is the South African leg of the ARTS, held annually in Orlando, Florida. It is run by Elsubie Verlinden, founder of Just You Model and Artist Management.
Growing up, she found lack of opportunities for people seeking a career in the arts. So she took matters into her own hands and teamed up with Kim Meyers to bring the showcase to the African continent.
In her capacity as regional director for ARTS in Africa, she has provided countless young South Africans exposure to top educational outlets in the USA.
Each year she travels from city to city throughout South Africa to scout the best talent the country has to offer.
Auditions have been held in Durban, Witbank and Bloemfontein already, with Johannesburg, Potchefstroom and Cape Town next on the diary, followed by East London and Richards Bay thereafter.
