Google’s latest Transparency Report shows that 75% of the search giant’s Internet requests use encryption.
This is compared to just over 50% at the start of 2014.
According to the report, services such as Gmail and Drive use 100% encryption, while Maps is also well-guarded at 83%.
“Most of the improvements come from advertising, news, and other services where encryption hadn’t been a priority until a couple of years ago,” stated a report by Engadget.
North America has the largest share of unencrypted traffic, with 95.5% coming from mobile devices.
