POPULAR gospel singer Khaya Mthethwa has to fulfil his church obligations.
It’s rumoured he got engaged to Jessica Nkosi, who plays Qondi in Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya.
According to friends, Khaya, affectionately known as the Pastor’s Kid (PK), was told to complete his church journey by getting married.
Sunday Sun understands the Idols SA season 8 winner is earmarked to take over his dad’s church.
A church elder claimed: “The wedding will be held in the Eastern Cape to keep it hush-hush.
“The white wedding may be held around Easter.
“Jessica will fulfil her Mamfundisi duties on weekends, but will continue working as an actress during the week.”
A second source, who is a friend of the couple, claimed: “Jessica played it clever and snatched Nomzamo Mbatha’s ex-fiance eight months after the break-up.”
Nomzamo is also in Isibaya, playing the role of Thandeka.
“Nomzamo was shocked to find sexy messages on Khaya’s phone.
“This caused a split between the two friends.
“Jessica had been sending Khaya passionate SMSes.
“They revealed how badly she wanted him – and she won the battle!” the source said.
A third source said: “I’m happy for them.
“Nomzamo has also found love in Maps Maponyane and the two look good together.”
Yesterday Khaya said: “No comment. I’m not getting married.”
An equally evasive Jessica also refused to comment, saying: “I’m shooting. I can’t talk.”
Nomzamo’s phone rang unanswered.
