After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that Uzalo actor Mpumelelo Bhulose will no longer be a part of the telenovela.
Weekend reports claimed that Mpumelelo, who plays the role of Gxhabashe on the popular SABC 1 drama, had resigned from the telenovela to seek greener pastures, but Uzalo bosses refused to comment on the reports (more on that here).

But talking to The Juice this week, Uzalo management confirmed that Mpumelelo’s contract was not renewed for the show’s second season.
“Mpumelelo Bhulose’s contract has not been renewed for Uzalo season two,” read the statement from Uzalo’s management.
Meanwhile, TV authority, TVSA is reporting that Mpumelelo was allegedly removed from the popular soapie because of “abusive behaviour.”
An insider told the website that the Mpumelelo was apparently causing upheaval on the show’s set, and that bosses had no choice but to part ways with the actor to “protect themselves and other cast members.”
Uzalo’s management would not be drawn into commenting on the allegations.
“We are aware of the allegations levelled against Bhulose and Uzalo management. We cannot comment on the allegations suffice to say that Bhulose is no longer in the employ of Uzalo,” added the statement to The Juice.
