Apple is increasing the prices of products in the South African App Store because of the weaker rand, which has declined significantly against the US Dollar in recent weeks.
Apple announced that App Store users in Canada, Singapore, Russia, South Africa, New Zealand, Israel, and Mexico will be affected by the price increase.
Prices of both apps and in-app purchases will be affected by the new pricing, which will kick in within 72 hours.
South African users with subscriptions will have to re-subscribe at the new price to continue their subscription-based services.
