Chris Carney, who starred in the MTV reality show twentyfourseven, was killed early Friday in a car accident in Arkansas. He was 35.
Carney was the passenger in a vehicle driven by his friend, 37-year-old Ezekiel Blanton, who was also killed. State police said Blanton was driving the vehicle on I-70 early Friday morning when he failed to negotiate a curve, over-corrected and collided with a tree, according to local CBS affiliate KTHV.
Carney was the husband of former Disney star Tiffany Thornton, whom he wed in 2011. They had two sons together – Kenneth, 3, and Bentley, who was born in March 2014.
Thornton, 29, was the star of Disney's Sonny with a Chance. She is currently a radio personality on KLAZ, and the station posted its condolences on its Facebook page
