Adobe has asked content creators to stop using flash, and instead encourages them to “build with new web standards” – like HTML5.
The statement by Adobe comes after Google stopped Chrome from auto-playing certain bits of Flash content, like advertisements.
The Verge also reported in May that Firefox’s Mark Schmidt confirmed all versions of Flash Player were blocked by the browser.
Mozilla’s move followed an announcement by Facebook’s security officer Alex Stamos, who asked Adobe to announce an “end-of-life date” for Flash.
