Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defender, Erick Mathoho, was left unscathed last night after hijackers held him and two siblings at gunpoint and stole his car.
A statement from Mathoho’s representatives said, “The three men demanded their personal belongings and immediately thereafter drove off in Mathoho’s car. The car was later recovered after the police, who responded timeously, used a helicopter to search for the vehicle.
“The three men are still on the run and anyone with information about the hi-jacking is asked to contact the Atteridgeville police station. Fortunately Mathoho escaped the incident unscathed and his family is safe.”
