Paramedics say two children are missing following a major bus accident in Warden.
It’s understood the bus burst into flames this afternoon while ferrying children home from school.
The other children managed to escape.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said, “Two people were critically injured and four people had serious injuries; [officials] are still looking for two others at the moment.”
Earlier, 16 children were injured after the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the N14, West of Johannesburg.
ER 24’s Russel Meiring said the children were ejected from the vehicle during the accident near Brandvlei this afternoon.
The group sustained minor to moderate injuries and have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
