ACTRESS Bonnie Mbuli (38) is back on the dating scene again after her divorce from actor Sisanda Henna. The Afternoon Express presenter has opened up to Time Out magazine about the new man in her life who came at the time when she didn’t believe she’d find love again.
Bonnie and her boyfriend, Nathanial Roloff, have apparently been together for a year now. They made their public debut recently at the 2017 South African Film and Television Awards when they came together to the ceremony. “I’m in love with one of the most wonderful human beings that I have ever met. He is incredible and supportive. He is my best friend and he’s my kids’ best friend,” said the actress. “We laugh. He pushes me to be a better person and he is kind. I didn’t know I could find love like this. I’m at that stage in my life where I’m not pretending to be something I’m not. So I know that he’s in love with me,” she said.
Bonnie can’t seem to get enough of Nathanial. The actress’ sweet Instagram post tells a lot about how madly in love she is with her new man. “My lightness…my crazy appears delicious with you, from the humdrum of banality to the glory of the heights, it’s always home … you make it all light,” she captioned the picture.
The international film star comes from a messy divorce with fellow actor, Sisanda, after 10 years of marriage. She published an autobiography titled,
Eyebags and Dimples, in which she shared intimate details about her relationship with her ex-husband.
“The most hurtful thing for him had been my distrust of his intentions. I had accused him of not having my best interests at heart; I always suspected him of ulterior motives and had often accused him of deliberately trying to hurt me. These moments scarred him,” she wrote in her book.
In a previous magazine interview, Bonnie opened up about her divorce and said she and Sisanda had to find a way to make sure that they separated on amicable terms and still remained friends.
“After many challenges, we decided it was time. We left our marriage in exactly the same way we went into it,” she said.
Nowadays Bonnie is as radiant as ever. She has had the opportunity to star in a few international movies with some of Hollywood’s most elite actors. The mother of two has started writing a new chapter in her life as a talkshow queen on SABC3’s Afternoon Express, in which she was nominated for at the 2017 SA Film and Television Awards.
