Just in time after SABC announced that it will play 90% local music across its 18 radio stations…great news for today is that South African music Hip Hop stars AKA and Cassper Nyovest and dance/house DJ Black Coffee are nominated in this year’s BET Awards.
Other nominated African artists includes: Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz, Mzvee and Serge Beynaud.
The eight African artists will all compete in the Best International Act Africa category.
The 2016 BET Awards will take place at Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, 26 June. The awards will premiere across Africa on BET, channel 129 on DStv, on Tuesday, 28 June 2016 at 19:00.
