BC Radio 1Xtra just confirmed what we already knew - 2016 is going to be a big year for AKA.
The UK radio show featured theBaddest rapper on its #HotFor2016 list.
1Xtra DJs and staff selected 15 international acts to watch in 2016.
Artists who made the list in the past have gone on to make big waves in the music industry.
AKA is the only South African musician on the list, and of course Supa Mega is thrilled.
“This [is] a huge honor for me as there are so many big stars today who have cracked this nod before they blew up on the world stage. I have always been about taking my music and my country to a new level and this is only the beginning. Thank you,” he said following the news," he wrote on Instagram.
2015 was a great year for the rapper, and it looks like 2016 is going to be even bigger.
He scooped three nominations for the 2016 Metro FM Awards.
